Whats the oddest horse's name you have come across?

one of mine is called Elke aka Everything Nice which she can be far from when she wants to be!

We also have a princess & fairy on the yard which are rather cheesey! (Fairy has now been renamed Shaylee's Luck, meaning field fairy)

I also knew a potato once!

A friend has a horse called "Fanny By Gaslight" aka "Spanky" - one local equestrian centre got quite prissy and wouldn't call her by either (what minds they have!!!).

Our last pony was called "Merinda's Prince Harry" could have been embarrassing if announced as "teenage daughter's name riding Prince Harry!" We just called him Prince.

One of my TBs was called "Lemon Squeezer" so I called him Jiff.

Ha ha - Used to know a TB type called Squeeze - wonder if it's the same horse. He was a gorgeous bay. Liked to ignore you if you asked for halt and enjoyed doing everything at speed. Love his heart - he was gorgeous.

Used to know a little pony called Bimbo - always thought that was an odd name.

Ive known of two horses called Dave.
My boss has one called Boris, one called Hayley and a 2 year old called Mariah or shania or something equally as obscene.

I think people think that 'Motor' is an odd name for a horse, however it really suits his personality

I knew a lovely horse called Odd Job, he was a spotty roan cob type and did all jobs from hunting to driving.

I used to ride a horse called "The Bay Mare"

It was changed when she was brought by someone else, but i always liked it, and thought it suited her to just be known as "The Bay Mare"

I also knew a coloured jumping pony called Turbo diesel..

My sister called my 8 month old filly Lottie the" Lott ness monster" this morning when she was running around the yard with a carrier bag of apples. That really made me giggle.

I learnt to ride on "Dormouse" he wasn't a mouse he was a fairly cheeky pony!

Know of a horse called "Bear" a cob called "Rupert Bear" and a pony called "Paddington Bear" - none of them were actual bears!

I love human names for animals, and think they can be very cute. I have known a reg, a rodney, a maggie, lots of maxs, harrys and henrys and an oliver.

Have come across a couple that have made me think "why?" including "windy" maybe it had a flatulence problem but you don't want to advertise it and "batty" the horse is a bit, not sure if he's living up to his name or was given his name because of his nature........

Olivers name used to be Nobel like the peace prize, I hated it and it certainly did not suit his personality!

Worse name I remember was a pony called Dunky when I was 14, he was kept at the yard we had our horses on.

Horses with human names tend to weird me out.

I've met a Rebecca

I could deal with Sean, but the Ryan, no.

I used to know a racehorse trainer who had a horse called Finmental. The name needs to be broken down into 3 parts with the first part being F. It perfectly described the horse!!

Mine is called Biddy, bit weird. Also on her passport. So stuck with it good and proper!!
The lady her bred her called her it, I grown fond of it now. I would have loved her to have a really good 'show name'. No Biddy it is!!!
