Whats the oddest horse's name you have come across?

I know some other weird names too .... Mystique although we call her Missie .. had a racehorse with the nickname Mallethead cause he had a big head :P We have a Bruce and Mini Bruce (Bruce's race name is Mr Willis and Mini Bruce is his younger half brother who looks just like him) we also have a Malvin .. A few of our horses get called Doobs if they have Dubai in their racenames or sires name, we have a Bernadette as she looks exactly like another one nicknamed Bernie.. My list goes on!

OK here goes....

Someone posted on here yesterday thinking of buying a horse called...ELVIS

I have a horse called 'Gerald' although we now call him Fitz - His passport name is Total Confidence which is perfect for him!

I had a foal 2 years ago that when he was born he was Bug Ugly so Bugsy became his name (passported as Simply Red)- He is now a 16.2 rising 2 year old and stunning (so his new owner tells me)!

I also have a 'LLandavel Morning Glory'..was AKA 'Gloria' that I call Holly.

My horse is called Adrian... It suits him tho cos he's a comical kind of character, & it's almost as if he 'gets' the joke... (his passport name is Corrigan II.)

Haha some great ones in here

Some good ones I've heard (though you get used to them and they don't seem weird anymore

A fell mare some people i knew had out on loan. I didn't realise at the time she was theirs and said 'what a daft name for a horse'. They were a bit offended

I stand by my statement though. Poor mare.

I find 'human' names odd for ponies too.

I used to know a little 11hh called Simon.

I used to have a pony called Trevor which everyone laughed at! He was a lovely boy.

Used to know a dun pony called Dunstan and another called Padstow because the owner had just been on holiday there just before she got him!

My pony is called Jamin, although not sure if it is an odd name but have never come across another horse called the same.

We had a cat called Pest....and he was! My Mum breeds cats and she has a few odd names in her collection.

I also knew a pony called bullet who was saved from getting one!

We also had a horse called "one eye" and she had one eye

Only animal that has come to me without a name is my cat and he's called Fraser. I like human names for animals - I think it kind of suits them. My friend has a string of horses with human names - the original was called Alan... which I love..

I nearly bought an Irish Draught called Spongebob Squarepants which made me laugh, that was his registered name! Unfortunately someone got there first.

My old pony was Tadpole (biiiiig head)

My haffy is strudel - well, he is austrian and he'll do anything for an apple.
The silly section d is Tufty - real name is Nebo Toffo but when he was a foal his mane was chewed and someone said "oh look, he's all tufty and it stuck!

My mare is called Lottery because she was born the year the Lottery started (no chance of forgetting her age then!) and her passport name is Lottie Lou which is equally horrendous!

I'm not so keen on human names for horses and my friends horse was called Ian!

When my daughter was very little she named her kitten "Sunflower Lovely" - aaahhhhh
