mines my long boots.

They were my mums, she bought them to do her AI exams that she never passed about 31 years ago. Needless to say by the time I got them they were lovely and soft. They fit me perfectly, she had already had them cut down. They had leather soles which kept slipping so I got them resoled when I wanted to wear them more a couple of years ago and they are sooo comfy. Cobbler suggested they would need re-heeling soon too. - I pointed out that heel doesn't really touch the floor!

My bridle. Its a sabre crank, and I got given in about 6 years ago, and before that it was about 10/15 years old.. so its getting towards 20 years old..

Its the best and still looks new =o/ when i clean it!!!

Lets see... I have a pair of Cavallo boots that are 13 years old, my best saddle is 12 this year and my collection of bits goes back probably about 20 years.
All the other oldies were left behind when I moved to UK as transporting stuff over big distances is neither easy nor cheap - the horses came with me though.

My show jacket from when I was about 5 (now 22), I don't technically own it still though as I gave it to my Ponies jockey last month. I have told her that if she doesn't look after it I will take it back!

A picture of her wearing it for the first time

My daughter uses my old pony's travel boots, they were bought 24 yrs ago and were used every weekend but he was such a good traveller they stayed good as new.

They are polly pad travel boots. They are just starting to look a bit tired.

It reminds me of my first pony when we use them and hold lots of good memories and we think they are her god luck charm for the shows

My first pony's snafffle( 16 years old) still looks like new!

And my xc jersey tis about the same age, my mum bought it to big for me when i was 8 so id have time to grow into it! fits perfectly now! abit holey and faded but always worn xc at the bigger events for luck!

A bridle. Wife was a bridle stitcher by trade & made the bridle about 40 years ago. Doesn't get used at all now, it's pony size & we have horses. We also have a couple of felt pad type saddles from around the same time.

I wear my mother's hacking jacket to hunt, must be 30-40 years old.
I also have her old t-shirts and jumpers with GSD logos which I now wear to dog training club, to everyone's amusement, they can remember her wearing them first time around, before I was born!

How the hell do you guys hang on to sticks for so long? I manage to lose one every couple of weeks. Ironically the one I paid a fiver for is still here, but any that are worth anything are now on the beach, buried in the sand school or are in someone else's tack box, grr!

mines a blue and white plastic covered brow band from my first pony some 35 years ago ! omg was it that long ago - must be getting old

I have the hat, saddle, whip, and bridle from when I was 7 still in regular use. Dad's carriage lamps are about 90

his carriage is new built but still about 20. I also have brushing boots from Dads first pony, so about 21.

I have some hoodies that i refuse to part with - they get bigger and bigger the older i get (i was larger as a kid

) but still love them!

my horses have all been so very different it has been difficult keeping tack etc, but i do have some martingales which will be cracking on in years lying in the bottom of my tack box - yak!

seconds that i loose them all the time x

Mine is my hunting jacket which was my mother's and is 35 or more years old. I also have a couple of very old pony saddles but not sure exactly how old they are. One I used as a child myself and the other came from an agricultural sale (paid £20 and use it on my children's pony) and is in super nick as hardly been used.

I have various old bridles which were mums, they must be at least 25 years old! I still have a pair of jods though that I wore to my first senior pc camp aged 11, I'm now 25 and they still fit! Either I havent grown much or they were way to big in the first place

Bernard Weatherall navy jacket from when I was 14, 40 years old now and still looks really good. My daughters used it for a number of years when I was not competing and now it is back to me!

When my parents bought me Trooper, I was 17 (I am now 31!), with my birthday money I bought one of the first polypads - it's brown and has frayed on one of the edges but is still useable, in fact Diva uses it as an everyday numnah.

And for that reason the whole yard continues to use them - they are tough, durable, wash well and worth every penny!

bought 21 years ago 2nd hand also got some very old material brushing boots and some yorkshire boots (old type of fetlock boot I think) and old and faded x-country silk all about 20-25years old!

My sidesaddle was made in 1906 so is 103 years old

My favourite Stubben saddle was purchased secondhand 19 years ago and is still in almost daily use

The oldest thing that I use is my great grandfathers stock pin, although I obviously do not use it everyday but I would say it has to be a good 110 years at least. Does that count?

I dont have anything super duper old, but probably the original tack for my very first pony who's now 21, I bought him as a 5yo and the tack was very much 2nd hand then... so god knows how old it is (probably at least 20 years old)! Must be decent leather though to last this long, the saddle is still perfectly usable as is the bridle!

I forgot I wear her old tweed jacket for showing too, its much nicer cut than many of the new ones.

I am not sure we can count dad's really! but lol at all the stuff you were bought large as a kid and have finally grown in to. I also don't know how you have whips that old, I don't loose them they tend to break (oops that sounds bad- normally from horse standing on them!)

I've still got my original velvet (that was all there was then) riding hat purchased when I was 6 which was *ahem* 54 years ago . . . . .it's a bit flimsier than modern velvet hats but my son uses it for showing in-hand as it is much smaller and neater.
