Trying to help out my local tack shop here as there is a little prize up for grabs too . They do a fantastic range of lazy jacks , equetech and le chameu ( can't spell !!) then rugs , long boots etc but need new suggestions ! They actually dropped joules and mountain horse which I thought were better brands !
So what new exciting product would you like to see in your tack shop ?

A 'lay-away' scheme. Ive not seen it over here but when I lived in the USA shops would always offer it.
I'm hopeless at saving so to be able to buy an expensive item and pay £10/£20/£30 off when I had the spare cash then once its paid they give you the item. Everytime I go into my local store I look at the really nice Ariat boots etc but can never justify spending that amount of money on myself - with a lay-away I wouldn't really notice it.

Personally I would like to see a really nice, fashionable range, in Hi Viz.

I do a lot of roadwork, and won't go out anywhere without Hi Viz.

But currently there is a very limited range. It usually tends to be heavy, thick, hot & sticky fabrics which are OK for the middle of winter but you just boil alive in them in the summer time!!!

The stuff that I have got, I got on-line as the range at our local tack shop (which boasts of being the biggest and best for miles around) is very limited indeed.

I saw someone out running today, they had on a really nice running top made of very light wicking material - in hi viz. This is the sort of thing I'd love to see in a tack shop! But can you find it??? Nope:(

Also I'd like to see (in local tack shop) specialist gear for disciplines such as endurance/Le Trec. There's just nothing, sweet FA - and it would be refreshing to see something different instead of dull boring racks of bland bog-standard stuff which they've had there for years!

Gossip - a lovely big notice board where people can put up notices AND maybe a loose leaf folder where people can put in details of horses/lorries for sale/loan.

The one reason that I love my local tack shop is that apart from the advice, its just a great place to go and find out whats on/whos doing what locally - much more fun than buying on the internet!

A drop dead gorgeous, young, athletic, smiling piece of male eye-candy. Then he could easily persuade this 60 year old shopper to buy lots of things for her ponio. Hope this isn't too sexist

Second the suggestion for coffee. We often drive quite a few miles to get there, usually straight from the yard and a sit down with coffee would be lovely. My local tack shop sells homemade cakes which are lovely. There are notice boards with adverts and events and the staff are an up to date source of information.
That's something you can't get from an online tack shop.

I'd travel a good distance if a tack shop sold some of the ranges of tack and horsewear sold on the continent. The things I currently looking for can only be found on German online tack shops.

I have a 50 mile round trip to the best tack shop in our area so in with the coffee suggestion. I'll also second the fit young man idea.....

Would like to see better range of hi viz, and absolutely no-one around here stocks showing waistcoats.

I also agree with the stocking of the continental makes. I'd love it if my tack shop sold him, horze and usg as well as mark Todd (in particular the leatherwork)

Stock! No I don't want to order it,I want it now..... 2nd hand, try and buy on bits, someone helpful. Agree fit young straight single man....
