I'm going to HOYS in a few weeks with my friend jumpthemoon - we've got tickets for the Saturday evening, I've never been before, I'm SO excited

Just wondering what the shopping is like? Are there many bargains? I need a LW stable rug and a MW turnout rug, and I'm sure there's loads more things I need...

My trainer loves the shopping at HOYS! He says he always spends loads there & goes every year. I've only been a couple of times & although that was a few years ago I managed to get some good bargains.

The Your Horse Equine Event at Stonleigh (first weekend in Novemeber) is always very very good for horsey shopping if HOYS doesn't have what you want.

I have only been to HOYS once and thought the shopping was good. As with all these events it does get so crowded in the shopping area so go prepared to shove!!

Yes I had stuff from them last year at Berkshire, nothing this year though!! I promised myself I would only buy a rug if I found a turnout with a neck, fixed or detachable, and under 100grms filling for less than £50 (otherwise I will buy from premier equine) didn't find anything so didn't buy anything!

I must be picky then! LOL Just took me no time at all to go round last year and saw very little stuff on special offer. I did lie though I did buy one thing which was a joules jumper on sale

I had gone with a purpose of trying as many dressage saddles as possible but was shocked to find only 3 different makes, even though they are nto my thing they did not even have a WOW there! I was hoping there would be at least 7 or 8 if not more brands. As it turns out my new dressage saddle plans have gone on hold but it disappointed me majorly at the time.

Its pretty good really - not so many bargains but quite a lot of choice. Definitely better than Olympia which has gone seriously downhill in my opinion..
