Whats the strangest thing youve found in your hay?

A butterfly, still alive (not sure how!) and a used scalpel with dried blood on it - not from the same bale!

A complete harvest mouse nest with mother and babies ... all mummified. And a flat stoat.

i hate snakes so would freak out if i found a snake in my hay!!

I had a bale of hay and the strings had broken when i picked it up so i left it in a neat pile. When i went back to the hay i put my hand in it and felt something fluffy, i looked and it was a dead rat!!! aaagggghhh i have never screamed so much!! my friend had to come and move it for me. i never leave bales open in piles now.
