No it doesn't. We use it at work (on people) all the time. We wouldn't be allowed to use a steroid without medical advice.

Sudocreme is a barrier cream with an antiseptic action. Not a steroid.

it may not contain steroids but its a banned substance and cannot be used on competition horses competing under rules (FEI/BSJA deffinatly). at work we couldnt leave it out on the yard and had to be shut away and everything had to be washed thoroughly after we used it on the baby horses so as not to contaminate the bigger ones. such a shame as sudocreme fixes everything!

Sudocreme flags a positive drug test

Using sudocreme would give a positive drugs test under FEI.
This is due to the small amount of anaesthetic in it I believe.
