Hope that link works, anyone any idea? Horse not keen on it being pressed, sound but throwing serious tantrums when expected to engage. Really need to move said horse on so hoping this isn't anything problematic. Possibly a curb?

Could possibly be from being kicked in the field to bumping herself in the stable, if its causing ridden problems, its prob time for the vet, and maybe an xray, unfortunately you will not know whats going on as just looks like a lump on the outside, its it hard for soft? x

Could possibly be windgalls x

Thanks, horse has a questionable attitude under saddle at the best of times but last summer improved rapidly. However after a winter out this appeared so its been hard to distinguish between her usual strops and strops with a cause. Mainly her strops occur when asked to take a contact in walk which I don't feel is an unreasonable request.

Its fairly hard, if you push hard there is some give. Maybe a little heat after work but would pass a straight trot up. Came to me 2 years ago unable to maintain canter as changed behind every stride but spent a lot of time working on that and when muscled up it no longer occurs.

Could be the beginnings of a thoroughpin, maybe a bit low down, but i would say it is wear from too much engaging, ease off, cold hose, monitor. You wouldnt want to damage the horse in the end after all your hard work with schooling, how old is the horse and how mich schooling does it do and on what surface. Arenas are hard work on horses joints.

She is 8, ex racehorse. Atm coming back into work she does 25 mins schooling or an hours quiet hack. Works on grass and lives out. Was only meant to be a years project and now overstayed by 18months so really does need to go now as she won't event! As well she has had 8 months off with a virus and then lack of time so it shouldn't be over work.
