Just what I was going to say. Took me ages to think what it was, just knew it looked very familiar!

Horrible Buttercup I'm afraid - it will take over your field and is poisonous if ingested in large amounts. Get your freindly local farmer to spray your field during the growing season. xx

Yep, thats creeping buttercup alright. Best way to control it is to spray it with Forefront in the spring just before it flowers. You,ll need to get a farmer or paddock maintanance chap in to do it for you but it will be well worth it.If you don,t take steps to control it it will take over your field!!

I would say either creeping buttercup (most likely) or small flowered buttercup. It is difficult to tell without it in front of me, and without a one in flower.

I don't agree with the 'kill it' method though. Ours seem to cope ok with it (although they have lots of grass, so can avoid it) and I would rather my horse ate somethin natural than some herbicides. They generally don't eat things that are bad for them! Or just get sheep in to keep it under wraps a bit more

I would strongly get someone into spray it when they start to come up in may. They were in my paddock last year and really upset my cob's tummy and gave him sores around his mouth.
