Years ago a farrier was shoeing my 16.2 and belted him in the ribs, i started to have a go at him ( think i was about 14/15 at the time) and got told to piss off and go and play with my ponies (i was just heading out on a ride on someone elses, much smaller, pony) Needless to say he didn't shoe my horse for much longer, and in fact stopped doing the entire yard (30 odd horses) shortly after that. Even though he was quite well known round here i wouldn't use him again. Current farriers (all 3 of them) are all blooming brilliant!
