I went to a car boot sales the other weekend and l came across a nearly new high viz rug for only £3 bargain a wash and it is like brand new. So whats been your best bargain
Had the saddle fitter out last month, she tried loads of saddles and couldn't find any to fit, He's a very broad section D especially in light of the fact he is only just 4. Anyway she only had a few left in the back of the van to try, tried the last but one on him and it fitted like a dream! However it didn't have a price on it so she asked to use my mobile to call the saddle shop (cheek of it I thought, at the same time dreading the price of the dream saddle) So she hands the phone back to me and says the saddle is on sale - great i thought perhaps 50 - 100 quid off - no it was half price £465 bargain made my day. The girl in the saddle shop checked twice when I went to pay for it, she didn't seem to believe it either.
Usually we pay approx £38 for a bottle of Cushy Life for our Cushings girl - mooching on eBay and found someone selling them for £11! All brand new and packaged.

Probably my horse! But I did get a size large child's body protector in as new condition, which is a perfect fit for me, for a pound from a car boot sale at work!
I got a new saddle on wednesday, fits wonderfully second hand been used for about 5 months but too small for horse now £700 they retail at nearly £2000 new. was chuffed to bits
In July I bought a new "cross under" bitless bridle from a company who trade through ebay.
It took so long to arrive that I contacted them, they said it was lost in transit and sent me another. That was lost in transit too!
Finally, it arrived a month and a half after I'd paid for it. However, the company offfered me my money back in return for not giving them a bad review on ebay!
So I got it free! Nice bridle too. Well worth the wait.
At a tack sale last year I got 2 6'6" rugs, a thick stable and a medium turnout, for £10 each, and they've been fab, think those have to be the best bargain, all though got many others!
Got to be Corrie. Or Dougal! One cost £50, the other £37.50 (each).
Although as the years have gone on, Corrie might not have been such a bargain afterall with the amount of xray's, scan's and now more xrays.
Got a saddle for Dougal at a good price as well actually. Minimally used Thorowgood pony club saddle for £80 ish.
My little TB was free after spending four years in a field! He's one of the best horses i've known and he couldn't be any better (unless he didnt have injuries)! He also came with a free headcoller and got delivered also!
He's got a forever home here not matter how much he costs me in thrown shoes!!
ermmmmm in horse items, pretty much everything, I got a leather saddle, a stable rug, leather headcoller, bridle and stiruup irons for £56!!
My 2nd hand stubben saddle for £45. Been looking for a saddle for a while and was resigned to paying lots, RI turned up to give me a lesson one day with this in her boot, a client was giving up and wanted her to sell it for her....fitted like a dream, had it reflocked and a repair done but a proper bargain none the less!
Also daughters pony....previous owner paid £2800 for him but felt he owed them nothing as he had been such a star. We loaned him for 6 months on their yard so they could see he was happy and then offered him to us for £500! Including all tack, whole wardrobe of rambo and rhino rugs, personalised fleeces and pads, boots...everything! The little man is worth his weight in gold and we are so lucky to have found him! We regularly pop in to previous owners house with photos and rosettes to show them and they pop and see him now and then, its lovely
