Hello! I know this season has already finished but I am already thinking about next year! What are your aims?

Heres mine!

1) To win a BE100 - I been close but no cigar!
2) To qualify for the Blenheim 2012 Trizone Comp
3) To compete in a BE100plus!
4) To compete at Aldon 3 Day

Whats yours?! :D

Have always been afraid of planning too far ahead and as it is unclear when I can start riding again or even if I will get to do any of next season they have changed a bit. However I am working on needing things to aim for :-

Get Pippa to a NRF
Do some Intermediates with Pippa DC
Get Sarnie back jumping Intermediates and try and get her on the training team for the CIC** team

Not sure what is realistic but that is where the aims are!

Ohh good thread! My little one I would like to try an elementary test on, and jumping wise just have fun. Big youngster, aim is to move up to novice dressage in the spring, finish the year with an elementary test (bit "pie in the sky" but good to aim high I think!) and be consistent at BN and Discovery, maybe try a newcomers before the end of next year!

Hi Luce!

Good thread!

So, with Billy:
> Try to get another 2 RF qualifications before June (3 wasn't enough this year so I figured I need 4!!)
> Following on from abover - qualify for grassroots 2013!
> Consistent placings at 100. I would quite lkike to try and get on the top 50 list for most FPs in the season too..

Murphy:
> Crack the 20's
> Complete a 1 star with clear XC and respectable performances in dressage and SJ
> Become more consistent at Novice level - regular DCs would be nice..
> Achieve some placings at Open Novice

Serious feeling of anti-climax this morning after an amazing weekend at Aldon so thanks for the opportunity to look forward to next year with my lovely grey boys!! :)

Have a sound horse and maybe do some Le Trec and possibly horse boarding if we are allowed to canter - anything involving straight lines and not being in a school! Might have a go at tent pegging too :)

Over the winter, to become competitive at BN and Disco and to regularly score over 60% in Dressage (any level, this one is going to be hard!).

Then next season, to be competing at BE100 confidently with the feeling we could move up to N at some point. Would love to get some RF qualifications and ultimately go to Badders 2013, but that is as likely as pigs flying :D

to get my mares out eventing at last! if Katy's right she'll do 1 BE100 and then Novices, if (very big IF) i can keep a lid on her for the dr and sj she should upgrade quickly, since N xc was a doddle for her previously.
IF Daisy stays right in herself she'll do a little bit of unaff and then crack on with BE100 and upwards.
Ellie is more complicated so she'll prob stay slightly behind Daisy, but she might surprise me...
As for how far they'll get next year, I hesitate to comment on that until they've been out in public!

My main aim is to get out eventing again. I would like to be jumping disco by the start of the eventing season and aim to get to an unaff pretty early on with the view to affiliating and doing a few 90s and moving up to 100.

I would LOVE to do the 100@ highclere.

But saying all that I just want to have loads of fun and enjoy my pony :)

Winning Prelim and be decently competitive at Novice by next winter... main aim is to get him relaxed and out and about as much as possible.

Oh and have some bloody FUN!!! :D

Do a respectable test at the BD winter regionals (prelim)
Qualify BD Summer regionals (prelim) and Area Festival Novice
Qualify for BE/BRC 80cm Champs

Oh I have lots!!

Jan-Mar
Take Ginger polo pony to first dressage and showjumping competitions and not get laughed at
Take up horseback archery

Apr-May
Train ginger polo pony to accept the gun
Qualify for Royal Windsor Sword, Lance Revolver

Jun-Aug
Finally win a polocrosse tournament section
Compete in medieval skill at arms tourny dressed as a man

Sep-Dec
Be good enough to compete in horseback archery at a tourney
Revert back to riding club items for the winter

Edited to add - if I could ride for GB tentpegging somewhere warm, that would be good and if any spare time I want to meet the horseboarders!

For D
-manage to keep him rideable (proving to be a slight difficulty when he insists on ripping his shoes off  )
For A
-would love him to complete a 90cm ODE - very capable, just got to get it together!
-would love him to win a dressage test, don't care what level. he is knocking on the door but not quite there yet, would love it as much for him as his owner as she didn't think he would even be capable of dressage ;)

I don't really like planning and have aims, and haven't really begun to think of aims for next year, as its going to be a real changing year personally.
If I don't get a job with current degree am very lucky in that have been offered a job in an office so at least I will have money coming in!

Back to the horse -
Unsure of how he will come out of holidays.
General aim would be to move up to novice at some point during the year, but before that some serious showjumping practice needs to go in!!
Would be great to do Elem dressage next year
It has been suggested that I should think to le lion, but I very much doubt that will happen (Don't think student loans office would like that either :p) So will think work towards the CIC* 6 year old class here but does come with lots of very big "if" and "but" ;)

I just want to have fun! :D

Millie- get lots of points at BD Elementary and then, fingers crossed, get into foal easily and have a trouble free pregnancy for a 2012 foal.

Vinnie- get him super confident unaffiliated at PN so he is ready to move up to Novice when I register him BE.
Would also like to get him out BD and consistent at Novice/Elementary by next summer.

About to do our first unaff elementary test before year end -- so for next year:

Affiliate Prelim/Novice
More Elem, and if all goes well, do some aff Elem

Qualify again for the BRC -- but maybe in a higher level?

hmmmm... good one..

Get placed at BE80, should manage that quite easily as we would have been placed this year if I had gone faster XC. Complete a BE90 safely and competently.

Get some double clears BN and Disco, we have a new SJ trainer so hopefully she will get my fannying about sorted.

Over this winter i'd like to continue getting our good scores at prelim BD (hopefully win one!) and to get placed in some unaff Novice classes or Novice on a ticket would be nice, I haven't done much dressage this year so it would be nice to do a bit more. :).

I would love to do another competition on SuperCob, and if I do I might try and upgrade from the 60cm and the 65cm to the 65cm and the 75cm... Also do some XC and ride on the beach! If I'm allowed might try a dressage test too, but not really important :P

I also want to watch Al have fun with Reg, and get those elusive DCs. They are SO close- just green mistakes each time. Hopefully see them do well at PC ODEs, with some BE100 placings and maybe an upgrade to Novice but she is taking each step as it comes with him- not worth rushing!

Get the new boys 4 DC's at BN and Disco (jumped his first BN as a member on Sunday for 4flts), and get him to a stage where he can jump the 1m classes at Hickstead next summer.... And real pie in the sky dream to qualify him for the main ring at the All England Champs next September.

All or any of the above would me very happy :)

To get a new horsey!!

Then to compete low level dressage / jumping / XC. Then to do an unaff one day event, maybe have a go at BE80 before the year is out see how it goes (and how early in the year i get this new horsey!!)

ideally if i pull my finger out now, and put the work in compete at the royal highland show and the royal welsh show would definately be my top aim for next year, if the winter doesnt go to plan, back out competing at unaffiliated level and sort out his nappyness going away from other horses and then back out affiliated eventing

Double clears round Intermediate with the Dinosaur pony, Advanced dressage and maybe even an attempt at PSG before the year is out on the ginger ninja, and some good runs at BE90 with the baby pony :)
