a large or small yard?
I've just been reading another post elsewhere on the forum and it got me thinking thats all.
I don't think out yard is small but I dont think it would be classed as large either.
I think there are nearly 30 livery horses plus the a few owned by YO.
What would that class it as or is it just a comparative thing, so someone who is on a yard with say 3 horses might think ours is a large yard, whereas someone who is on a yard with say 60 horses would think its a small yard.
Just curious really

I would say it is medium sized!!

Our yard is quite small, however it is on a medium sized yard! We have 4 in our yard, yet there are several different yards in the yard. In total there must be 20 stables and I reckon 35 horses on the site

i would say its medium !! sounds about teh same as ours and i think ours is medium sized. i think anything under 20 is a small yard and anything under 8 a little/quiet yard. anything over 35/40 a big yard, anything over 50/60 a monster yard that you need a map to get around!!

I would say ours is medium/large - we have about 35 stables, large indoor school and floodlit outdoor school plus YO has private yard on her bit with about another 5 horses on.

There is a monster yard a few miles from here and I've heard there are about 80

One of thier clients didn't know they were holding a show 'til she picked up a schedule at her local tack shop

haha our yard even though only medium is 1 of 3 on the same farm so we have dressage people warming up in our school ready to compete in the school of the yard next door, problem is our yard is far too jolly for concentration, serious dressage riders and theres far too much squeeling and loud music - i feel quiet sorry for them really!!!
