in your opinion whats the best height of a horse/pony??

i love 13.2hh's cause i'm short and well i love ponies lol!!!

how bout you guys??
 
i used to ride a 17hh hunterx arab and i never thought about the height but then i bought a cob x and he's 14.3-15hh and thats plenty big enough!! when i ride my friends 15.3 he feels huge!!!! i ride my 11.2 welsh A and have the best rides!!!!!
i like riding ponies too!!!

Favourite height???

The horse I ride regularly is 17hh. the first time i met him, i nearly passed out, but once I got used to him, i really started to enjoy riding such a big horse. The only problem is, he's now spoiled me for "little" horses, even though I am a little person. I like big solid horses in general, i am not keen on ponies !
 
Ditto Trundle, I like big solid horses, at least 16.2hh, and nothing fine either.

Lance is the perfect heeght and build for me,I wish Beau was a bit chunkier!
 
I really love big horses, I used to jump a 17hh ID when I was 11 and it was like being in an armchair! She was a real gentle giant and I was heartbroken when they wouldn't let me keep her because she was too big

Flas was as big as I was allowed to have on the yard, 14.1hh, so was delighted that he's grown to 15hh and still growing! I'm only 5ft 3 tho, so odn't need big horses
 
im 5'9.
i think im a bit leggy on my 16.1 TB, as he's quite narrow, and feel absolutely fine on my 15hh hackney x.
i ride a 17.2 TB x ID and feel like a pea on a drum!
 
I love big horses - i've got a 17hh and 16.3hh but recently i went for a hack on a 13.2hh pony and i loved it, took me back to when i was a child. So i guess i like any height!!
 
I'm 5`8" and have just got back from a riding holiday in Iceland, rode 13.2hh Icelandic horses, my 2 favourites rode so much bigger and were so powerful, fantastic. Love native ponies and also big 17.2hh ID types too. Don't like anything too fine though as I'm quite chunky, used to ride a 16.1hh anglo-arab and felt like I was sitting on a radiator!
 
i would say 16.2+ and not oevrly fine, as on my mare, i can start to look big on her now and again and she is 16.2 3/4tb
 
I'm very comfortable on my 16.2 irish TB. If he was a chunkier build or a bit less kind I think I would struggle with him though as I am only 5ft3, but I love his long stride canter, he just glides.
 
About 16-16.1hh or upto 16.2/3 if LWT. I am 5'7/8 but not hugely leggy!! My boy is aot perfect height for me as is deep but quite fine, and 16.1hh

I'm 5'5" ish. My horse is 15.3hh and middleweight, and she's perfect (but then she would be, lol

The smallest I ride is a 15.2hh lightweight Anglo Arab, I absolutely love riding her as she has so much attitude for a small horse (she's more like 15.1hh really as she's 19yo and has a dippy back and huge withers). I wouldn't buy anything less than 15.3hh really (15.2hh at a push). Cookie (horse I jump) is 16hh ish but rides and looks like a 16.2hh, he's lovely and just right IMO. I used to ride a friend's 17.1hh Trakehner X ID who was fab but just a shade too big, as was the 18.2hh hunter type at college! I rarely refuse to ride big horses though, but ponies are another matter and I don't really like riding anything under 15hh.
So my ideal would be between 15.3hh and 16.3hh.
