I think its dun, however I cannot abide palominos, I also dark greys, coloured or roan. However I would never buy, or not buy, a horse just because of its colour.

eeek....i have a palomino! i always wanted one when i was young, and always seemed to get greys! it was my great dream to own a golden palomino with pure white mane and tail.....
im still dreaming. she's palomino, but not golden!
BTW - palomino mares are worse than chestnuts.....
Black's my fave, but every black horse I've met has been a nutter!! My two are bay (smart) and chestnut (not so smart - he's bright orange!!) I have a soft spot for coloured horses too.

Me too
If ti was the right horse ,not being my fav colour wouldnt put me off at all but ifit was my fav colour it would make me more keen.
I know,I know a good horse is never a bad colour but if you are buying a horse for fun then why not (if you can and it is right in every other way too) get one you LOVE the look of?
i said other... that lovely metallic colour that Akhal Teke's come in, don't know what it's called, but it isn't just chestnut!
otherwise, dun or palomino, though i've never had one of either. or a really jazzily marked pie or skew.
and what do i have? bays and chestnuts. *sigh*
I like anything with silver dapple, or perlinos. I saw the most gorgeous perlino mare at the BWBS grading once. I'd prefer a perlino over a grey - my mare is grey and takes ages to get clean and then looks grey. At least with a perlino you'd have that lovely shimmery sheen to show you'd actually put some elbow grease in!
My favourite has to be Dun. I would love another dun one day... But im not fussy i love bays, greys, chesnuts and blacks anything so long as its a nice person!!
