I have recently bought 2 pairs of caldene jods. They're junior everyday jods (I am 5ft8 and they fit me fine) and theyre so comfortable, worn them daily and they're really durable.
Mountain Horse seem to last forever. Shires seem good as well.
I have had bad experiences with Equetech though - the thread unravels and the seams come undone. Cue - waistband falls off/and the seams holding the sticky bum part on at the front of the thigh come adrift.
Harry Hall always seems to fit me as a rule (5'3"); also Caldene are a good reliable make. Mountain Horse always far too long in the leg for me. Have Mark Todd breeches, but heard somewhere else on this forum that the zip always breaks (mine havent - yet!).
I've just bought a pair of Harry Hall pull-on ones that look a bit like joggers - they're so comfey! Can't comment on durability as I've only had them a week but I've barely taken them off! My dublin ones wore through really quickly but they were also comfey.
Nearly bought some really nice Mark Todd's I saw half price the other day but thought I would wait for HOYS instead... now I'm seeing so many people recommending them I'm wishing I'd got them!
I go through Dublin jods very quickly! They fit me perfectly but the crotch always goes.
Harry Hall jods don't fit me, they seem to be very wide on the hips compared to the waist??
I am gonna have to for out for some decent jods / breeches that will last longer than a week of hard use!
hmm, I used to like Caldene when I was in riding school (1-2 rides a week in summer), but since I got my horse nothing lasts me as I ride daily now gonna see in there's anything nice on sale at HOYS
I have 3 pairs of Just Toggs breechers, They are now beginning to look at bit 'tired', but have had them for years and they have stood up to much wear. They have good high waistbands. Have a pair of Dublin, but they are not as high waisted and feel as if I am pulling them up all the time when not on the horse. Not sure the Just Toggs ones are even made any more!
