Heres a little thread to boast about everybody's amazing horses:) So what type of horse does everybody have? breed, age etc? Pictures would be great:)

Ihave a gorgeous 17hh full ID chestnut ginger boy. 7 and is ace...had him 3 years and been schooling him, compete in dressage but mainly love hacking, my lessons and just enjoying my large lad! Dont know how to post pictures x

Tessy bear a beautiful 14.3 traditional middle weight cob :)
She is 10 years young and total saint, so careful and brilliant with novices and kids but will step it up for me and my sister to gallop about on :D
Fingers crossed she passes it on to her foal :)

I share a black cobby chap. 14.2hh aged 6. Of unknown breeding but looks Irish. Has a handsome manly face and is mostly a good boy but sometimes too clever for his own good. However he thinks he's a stallion so some behaviour issues with other geldings but he just loooovvves mares <3 <3 :D
my friend bought him last year as a happy hacking ploddy type. Seems no one told him that so she's had her confidence knocked and acquired a few bruises. But she loves him and we will stick with it. He has to get through the Kevin stage eventually right??? :o

i have a 15.2 12yo tb (convinced hes part donkey though ) hes a happy hacker but will jump a wee jump if you ask. although hes not the best schooled horse, or the best jumper, has lots of annoying habits i wouldnt change him for the world. you could put a kid on him and he wont bother his butt, lots of novices have had a plod about on him :) hes my baby boy and i love him very much!

I have a french bred arabian mare, she's 7 years old and I've owned her a year. Her name is Ruby and she's grey, stands 14.1hh and was backed at 5. She's a complete contrast to my last mare of 22 years, who was 3/4 arab, part welsh and very keen!! Ruby is more laid back, nothing really phases her, except cement lorries!! She can be a bit quirky sometimes, but we have a fantastic partnership now and we spend our time exploring the countryside, just the two of us. She's good in company too, and I hope to do some endurance with her at some point.

My mare Meg. Thoroughbred X WelshD 15h on tip toes.

We've done everything together, and loved every minute. Honest as the day is long, yet can take the pee!! She is my horse of a lifetime.

My filly Penny 'Helping'!! Cheeky through and through. Always needs something to do. New Forest X about 13h

Both share the same birthday, TOMORROW! Meg will be 17, Penny 3. Will be giving them a spring tidy up.

These are our girls. Chloe is dark bay poss Anglo Arab mare, she's 14, we've had her for 3 years, she loves show jumping, bit of a diva but love her loads. Amber is a 6 year old chesnut reg sec A ISH, we've had her since July, she's very sweet and so far showing promise in both show jumping and dressage.

Taz - ISH rising 12years old gelding - absolute doofus, can be a bit grumpy but loves attention and food, loves jumping and can be a bit of a sod to handle at times but I love him anyway :)

Rio - Andalusian stallion 8 years old - Very cheeky, loves attention, loves swede, ridden work and has found a love for pole work. Bit of a stress head at times and wants to be friends with everyone but can nip sometimes but is generally a really lovely horse!

Cant post pics as im on my phone butt.
I own the cheekiest little chappie ever :3
15hh, 12yo, chestnut, heinz 57
Found in a shed & broken two years ago - so he gets a bit confused at times - hes a 5YO at heart.
He can do everything but needs a rider who knows what they're doing
Pre-novice XC, 90/100cm SJ, prelim/novice dressage, hacks well, good in traffic, absolutely bombproof.
hes sexy & he knows it ;)

Nell is 14.2hh rising 4 traditional cob mare and a complete poppet who I have recently started backing

Pics of her chilling in the field munching after our super solo hack this morning

My three useless lumps:

Trev, ex-racer (Trans Siberian). I did wash him off before I turned him out, even tho it doesn't look like it! He has the go slows atm, & I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.

Jenny, my 40 year old mare. She is TBx, by the Schockemohler's (sp?) Shelley's Boy. My grandfather bought her as a 3 yo from the farm next to his.

Adrian, ISH. He has EPSM so only potters about. Was once a promising showjumper.

Chuckie is a 13.3 haflinger rising 14yr old. I mainly hack him, but also do the odd fun ride with him & we enjoy jumping :)

Murphy is my 14.2 heinz57 rising 6yr old who I am bringing on to do jumping, xc etc with although I don't think he is going to jump the height I want him to :(

Couldn't resist!

(1) Woody 16hh , had him 18 years. He's now 22 (21 in this pic). Connie x TB and too clever for his own good!

and a little younger

(2) Chancer 14.2hh - now 27, aged 25 in this pic. Had him 19 years and he's still a neurotic little thing!

(3) Rocky 16.1hh ish - my youngster, nearly 4 now. He's the one on the right. My sister's horse Norman is the grey

(4) Last but not least, Dez, 29 yo TB ex racer (28 in this pic) chilling with Rocky in the sun

Milo, 9yo, 16hh ISH (though I swear there is some donkey in there!). Absolute poppet to ride, real confidence giver but with a little bit of 'spice' in him... but only when he thinks his rider can cope with it! I bought him having lost all my confidence on my previous horse, and he is doing a fantastic job of restoring it- we're now hacking out alone and even cantering! ;)

His flatwork is not great- spent a lot of time ridden in spurs and draw reins before I had him, but we're getting there slowly and he can jump 1m10- not that he ever will with me, but I'm hoping that this summer we'll get out and about a bit and perhaps pop a few little logs and cross poles :D

Mine is 15.0hh, 22 years old and a thoroughbred mare, she is absolutely batty, believe it or not she bites and has been known to kick, she also doesn't like people going near her stable and will bite and be vicious if people she doesn't know go near her when she's stabled or in the field! Other than that and the bucking and sometimes rearing when she's ridden, I think she's great :D:D She's not everyone's cup of tea though, I don't know why  :D ;)

Set up an imageshack account, upload any pics to it and then copy the 'share' icon for forums and just paste the code to your post. It's very easy, even I can do it!! :D

Just one horse now - Miyaz, a seven year old 14.2 arab gelding for general riding, hacking, having endurance ambitions/delusions for, and dressing up in colourful tat. He's a total dude and deals with everything except for lorries and, er, large stones which I hope at some point he'll get his head round. I've had him for two and a half years now and I foresee him being a lifetime pet. He's very gentle, polite and cuddly. Riding-wise he's totally trustworthy and genuine too. :)

My mare Flame was put down last year aged 32. She was a 14.2 mostly-arab, sharp, clever, hot-head who I'd owned 20 years. She could be a narky bitch and she kept me in my place.

I've had sports horses too but was never as attached to them as Flamey and Miyaz.

No photo but mine is a 15.2hh 11 year old piebald cob. Section D x gypsy cob.

Worth his considerable weight in gold he has the mind of Dennis the Menace and the body of Desperate Dan. We have been together for nearly 4 years and I adore him.

Wow cs rosie is stunning! :) I want! Lol
We have charlie, a 12hh tri-coloured gelding, he will be 5 in june. He can be a bit nervy and sometimes be naughty to catch and is ruled by his stomach :p but he's an angel to handle and hack out and he's my daughters 1st pony and our baby :D

Oh I do love a good picture thread, always like to have a nose at everyone's lovely horses and ponies, and to show off my own as well!

Bella, 9yo ex racer, 16.2 mainly a light hacker but does possess a cracking jump when she wants to, ridden by my daughter. I would need a whole day just to tell you what she was like, essentially, she's a diva
jumpies21.jpg

Basil 13 yo ex racer, 15.2 does mostly local sj/xc/dressage competitions and hacking, ridden by daughter and sharer. He has a lovely nature, but can be sparky at times, he seems like a smiley fellow to me
Basil-1.jpg

Maggie, 17yo, 16.3 been told she's an ISH but passport doesn't confirm this, maybe an IDx? Maggie is my own horse, she's a fantastic one, kind to old novices like me but also pretty forward going when she wants. We both struggle with our waistlines and both sulk when we're on a diet

Here's my boy :) He's a 15 hands, 13 year old Appaloosa x and I've owned him since he was a five year old. We have done just about everything together over the years but mainly just hack and hunt these days. He is my horse of a lifetime and I don't think I will ever be lucky enough to ride or own another horse quite like him. :)
