Whats your horse like?

I have a 6 year old Oldenburg by Indoctro x Emilion who is about 17.1hh

He is called Ludoctro or Ludo for short and is a absolute dude

Love him to bits, loveliest horse I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Adores people and being with people, will sit with his head in your arms , snoozing till you have had enough, he never has enough of being touched by people, relishes in attention

This is him

My darling Deano, 17hh, 9 year old tb - ex racer so lead a colourful life before he came to me to be a big pampered pet and the love of my life. He's very funny, sweet, patient, kind; he loves kids and food and hacking. We are trying our hand a some baby beginner dressage just now and enjoying it very much.
He's a total total dude :)

ooh do love a chance to post some pictures ;)

Rising 5yo welsh part bred. great fun and honest as anything, although has a typical stubborn welsh side who can throw a good toddler/teenage paddy when she feels it necessary! although only 5 she already knows everything and if you try and tell her differently your wrong ;) this is how you jump off things dont y'know ;)

can be a complete pain in the a*se when she doesnt want to play ball, and her ability to be distracted by a butterfly landing a few miles away is a bit of a hindrance  but my god when shes on side! she is something else, these are the days we live for :)

I have a beautiful Irish tb ginger lady 12yrs old only had her few months but I love her immensely already she's currently away being brought back into work

Done a bit of everything she's a sweet kind gentle loving lady when she's not being stubborn

I presently have four ex racers

Tiger - 16.3hh 13 yr old. Amazing horse to ride - events, shows, teamchases, hunts but is a complete menace on the ground.
176-2.jpg

Monty - 18hh 16 yr old. Been there, done that and got the t-shirt. The kindest most genuine horse you could ever hope to meet!
097-3.jpg

George - 16.2hh 6 yr old. A little special needs but has tonnes of potential
George2.jpg

Sam - 17.2hh 10 yr old. Having a break from racing after a leg injury. Just hacking about at the moment but he's such a sweet horse and a great horse to ride out on.

Was going to describe my boy but he sounds like the twin of stormymoments taz! Grey version! Love everyone's pics

I have a 16yo, 16hh Grey RID mare and she's been with me since she was 6. We've had a few challenges along the way but she's been well worth the time and effort. Did a little bit of dressage and showing until she was diagnosed with navicular, now we just hack out and do the occasional schooling session. :)

She loves eating and being groomed, so much so she leans into you and rocks. My McTimoney lady says she makes her job so easy.

That's her in my signature although not recent photos

I have an approx 16 year old bay Welsh D with a star called Harvey but often also known as Tit/ Knobber/ T*****/ other variations on the theme!!

Used to have him on loan one day a week from the rs I worked at but he got really nervous and wouldn't let people get on him so I was offered him on full loan, this was nearly 5 years ago & I bought him last summer when the old yo moved.

He is not nasty in any way & I trust him a lot on the ground as not seen him bite or kick. He is also capable of working in a nice outline which has developed since I got him, also has a nice jump & have jumped 1m 10 at the end of a grid on him & is great fun to hack in company (strong though!)

He is however, very special needs! We suspect he was mistreated before old yo got him as he is headshy (though i can now partly groom him face but other part I have to use my hand to remove mud.)
He is also under the impression everything is out to get him! Eg any new filler added he will tend to stop then jump second time & also v unlikely he will box so even though he can jump can't go out competing apart from local shows. He will now hack alone but it took lots of perseverance and he is very spooky when alone. He can also be a s*d to catch, once I couldn't catch him for a week!

Do love him though he's just rather annoying at times!

OOhhh any chance to show off.

Ruby, my beautiful Dutch Warm Blood mare. PTS 4th March 2013.
She was so gentle but kept you alert when riding.

Ruby left us a legacy - her son Four Seasons. He will be 3 this May. Here he is trying to get to grips with his immensely long legs

A bit older and already a show off like his mother.

Not in the least scared of brollies!

Taken as a 2 year old. Handsome boy.

Breitlingh - the project in progress. HUGE potential.

And last but by no means least. Norman our Fjord who thought he was a sport horse. Could jump 1.20m easily and excelled at dressage - Medium/advanced level before being retired after an op on his DDFT.

Won the most handsome gelding award in the Pony magazine a few years ago.
He looks like a haflinger because of his colouring which is very rare but he is a pure bred Fjord.

Pretty punk in pink.

Sorry for the overload but I love them all and very proud of them all.

Well they say pictures speak a thousand words so this is Meg, 13.3 D mare that I've had 8 years :)

And this is Nesta, 14.3 D mare who looks just like Meg who I will have had a year next month. :)

Adorable Alice .. I love your horses :) the Coloured one your breaking looks, er.. Challenging? :)

Thank you, Ted And Alice are peaceful types. The coloured horse is on a different post. I would run a mile if one of mine waved at me like that one !!

Ted could not balance or find the energy to get more than one hoof off the ground at a time.

My girl is a 15'1 dark bay cob - her mom was id x tb, dad was coloured cob (she was an accident according to breeder).
She's coming up 8 now but pretty green, partly cause I'm green and partly due to me being lame lots and unable to ride and partly due to her doing a tendon 18 months ago (we didn't start her till she was 4 as she's on the chunky side)

She's incredibly sweet with me and incredibly grumpy with anyone else although not nasty, just lots of faces (she's quite funny really, at least ot me :D)

Loves hacking, hates schooling and loves water and she cant half shift when she wants to!

Her favourite activity in water

loool, I've only had her 4 days and she's got a lot of energy! It was her first time being lunged though, she never had a clue

This is my knabstrupper mare, she is 4 years old - I've had her since she was `10 months old - this photo was taken in October last year - she has had the winter off and has just come back into work - hope to get some up to date pictures soon. Holly is a lovely mare, with loads of character but super trainable.

Have loved reading this thread, all the pictures are gorgeous as well!

I have with my partner a 16.2hh TB gelding, have had him in total about 2 years now (origionally just my partners but I am trying to steal him haha!) Everyone calls him a bit special, he is known as the yard labrador! He is completely loveable although sometimes a complete handful! Known, as Freebz and he was the best Freebie we have ever got :)

Hope the picture works, its a professional one we had done of all three of us, and I love it :)

Mollie is about 14.2 and 18 or 19 years old. She's not particularly talented at anything and rather nervous and stubborn in disposition. However she makes up for it all with her moviestar good looks. ;)

:D:D

I have two - Barney a 14.3hh 20 year old cob with a white star and white socks, safe as houses, but his personality is the equine equivalent of Phil Mitchell. The other one is Bonnie, a 15.1hh KWPN/TB tobiano skewbald who my daugther events, stunningly beautiful but as hard a nails. If she was human, she would be the singer, Pink.

Love them both to pieces.
