What's your horses show name?

I had pickles... 'In a Pickle'
Ebony.... 'Queenbee'

Now I have Ben... Ben Nevis' although I don't mind Ben Nevis, I wish I could have named him as I always wanted to have one with the show name 'Mr Tumnus' (the fawn from the lion the witch and the wardrobe) :D

Our current horses are:

A Kind Of Magic, Quest Starring Doll and Quest Prints S Bow.

We sadly had to sell three this year, they were Piccos Regalo Pasqua, Quest Dancing Smoke and Jayer Juggler.

Chloe doesn't have a show name, she's just Chloe which is on her passport.
Ambers show name is Kilcloghan Buffet (she came with this from Ireland, her sire was French Buffet).
Our old boy DJ's passport name was DJ Capper but we gave him the show name Da Dealer as his sire was Lucky Dealer.

Handy's is handy money, it was his racing name. Would love to know how he got his name! Out of a glint of gold mare so may be related to that?

Spud is Ffortune
H is Guadalcazar (Guardian of the Hunt)
Felix is Ffelix
Wolfie is Asterix (although I think he's probably go by Wolfie all his life as I prefer it)
Ol is Oliver Himself

Breathtaking. It had to be a B name for that year and mom is Heartbreaking. The other one is Heartbreak Ridge.

Haven't named Cupcake yet. Will probably take the first letter of the stallion's name. So it will be a V name. Hubby wants her name to be Vendetta. I want Vegas Baby!

Terri

Dolly came without show name, actually her passport says Molly, we think her name was lost in translation at some point or she was renamed as her previous home already had a Molly. We knew her as Little Dolly so we kept that.

We've now given her the show name Dolly Mixtures. : )

Mine all have come from studs apart from the homebred ones so have come ready named. I bought a coloured foal this year & got to choose her name, called her Tiptoes as although she has white legs she has black hooves & has lovely movement so seemed a good name for her ;)

In order

Just Horace - and just perfect used to jump 5' any day if the week, and was a skewbie before it was fashionable- he was 14'2 and if they had mirrors in arenas back then he would have been shocked as he thought he was a grade a showjumper

Granite (she used to root!)

Digby Springs - and he did!

Donnerstate- by Donnersong out of a State Diplomacy mare - she will always be Megan to me!
Husczar - I got to name him - he's Russian x Dutch and it had to start with an H so Husczar it is! but his stable name is Clint which I hated but now love!

Hawa Khana - Indy to her friends - by Indian Danehill and a very pretty, very clever little mare she is too!

My section d, is Dearnevalley Rio, named after rio Ferdinand by the stud as he's by Blaengwen Wayne Rooney, there's also a Dearnevalley Ronaldo and a Dearnevalley Beckham around somewhere.

Daughters WPB is Chesswood Little Lion, stable name Teddy

Then just bought a new mare called Roxborough Black Rain, she was owned by the stud in Ireland for 6 yrs where her stable name was maryellen!! The dealer I bought her off had been calling her Springer, which I didn't like so since she's been with me she's been called Roxi

Smudgie is really called Afera. I'm told it's Polish for Affair or scandal - she was bred in Poland.

Her previous owner changed her stable name to Smudge as she was didnt like Fifi which was what she was called before.

Pembroke cheeky boy (awful I know, trying to get it changed)
Dinsdale nightingale
criban demarara
Kirkley dawn chorus
acrelands caramelo
demitera
rockhill misty morning

Previous mare was Tymor Teleri - known as Tilly

Current mare - stable name Charm, we named her Winter Mist due to a passport issue (now thankfully resolved) - proper name is Zonneschijn (Dutch for Sunshine - stupid name for a grey horse I think). The problem is no one can pronounce it at shows, I think the funniest was when my daughter was in the arena waiting for the bell to go when the announcer having struggled to pronounce the name a couple of times eventually said in deperation "Sarah ....... riding a big grey mare!!" to a round of applause and laughter. I was asked to go and tell him how to pronounce it Zon-ah-shin

Blaze is Beltane Blaze
Jasmine is Erin's Gift. Her mum was Erin and she had to be pts when Jas was 12 weeks old, so we wanted to remember her in her foal's name.
And Marygold is Minnismoor Mistique. She is the only one actually registered with an organisation, and that is Endurance GB

My old welsh section a is vogue christmas cracker aka chloe. My coloured welsh part bred has 2 as I found out his proper welsh name after we had owned him for 2 years. The name I gave him is Nobel surprise, welsh name Ystradmeadow Sancho aka Alfie. :)
