What's YOUR horsey "sin" ?

Mine is falling for advertising. My OH spends ALOT of time saying "no, think it through, you dont need this because.......works just as well".

Mine is that i have a bay cob, who has lots of pink things, i just love pink so he has to love it to im afraid. Also when he is muddy, im not keen on grooming so just brush the saddlepatch and bridle area!!!!

I have a lilac Thelwell one. On a chestnut mare :o :D.

I am obsessed with good quality leather. Has to be English.

I absolutely adore cleaning and oiling said leather when it's new and needs softening.

Every week I strip my bridle down and my saddle and clean every buckle, strap and piece of leather there is including stirrups.

I love using Kocho-Line on leather. The rubbing is therapeutic :D.

I can't hang headocllars up without twisting the leadropes up so they hang neatly (like they are when you buy them).

I hate twisted reins.

Stirrups have to be run up and the leather turned back through the stirrup.

Numnahs brushed after each use :eek: :o.


I am possibly quite OCD. The man took the P unmercifully when he found all this out :o :D.

Really made me giggle - we have a lot but only because we shamelessly lose them and buy more! (we work in 2 tack shops between us!) Same goes for brushes, headcollars and whips.

However...I used to work with a shepherd who has some of his sheep in a field on a livery yard and I have never met a woman as OCD about her stable as one woman on there.
The horse's bed had to be level all the way round with immaculate bankings - he was fully mucked out every day, his stable was repainted 3 times a year and he had a big carriage clock attached to his stable wall along with countless ornaments and framed photos...
If that wasn't enough, he was trained to poo into a bucket.

anyone think they're bad now?? :D I can only imagine the havoc Kel would cause in that tidy a stable!!
