... blue eyed horses? I have heard so many people say that they're like devils, and the worst are the ones with one brown eye and one blue eye? I personally absolutely love it! I think it looks very unique and it makes the horse stand out but does it really set a trend to their personality? Are the blue eyed horses evil??? :)

Love it! Got one brown one blue boy of my own :D Not evil so far. He's a very good boy but not had him long yet!

Mine aren't :) In fact, one of them is very clever and the other one is the most gentle animal I have ever come across.

If blue eyed horses are evil then a hefty percentage of Paint horses are evil and that's absolute codswallop. they are another marmite horse, like arabs, warmbloods and anything else, some people love them, others dislike them heartily, often for no other reason than they can look a bit odd sometimes, especially if the blue eyes are very pale or in a dark face.

Blue eyed horses are no better, or worse, than chestnut mares or any other horse. A horse, is a horse, is a horse, they come in all personalities as far as I am concerned, a generalisation like that is akin to saying all blue eyed people are bad. Take no notice of what people say :)

Love Blue eyes sold a beautiful coloured horse last year her name was Blue Eyes she had two. Looked like a shark they were fascinating she has a wonderful temp :)

I've not so much heard the evil thing as that blue eyes are weak and may go blind. As far as I know there's no evidence of this. I think they look adorable and as my brown eyed girl appears to be losing her sight slowly not getting a horse with a blue eye just incase of a wives tale would seem silly to me.

My mare has 1 blue eye and in my opinion - shes freakin stunning :D
As for personality she is the most sweet and loving horse iv ever had the pleasure of. I have heard that travellers believe it to be bad luck and Similar with the Irish - although this is only speculation mostly iv heard its bad luck but have Also heard the old evil rumour which like i said is a load of bs. I personally love blue eyes anything unusual or stand out from the crowd gets the thumbs up from me :D

My friend has 4 blue eyed horses 2 cremello tobianos, 1 cremello and a perlino tobiano.
They all have the mist sweetest and kindest personality ever. Infact my foaly is by her perlino tobiano gelding ( was stallion).

I love them :) I also like a blaze that goes right over the eye and round the corner giving them a slightly mad look

Although I don't much like the look of it, I also like to ride horses that show a bit of white round their eye.

It was a comspiracy I tell you - along with coloureds are no good! I grew up believing 'wall eyes' were a problem and often associated with bad temperament.

I know much different now. My boy has two brown eyes but it wouldn't bother me if he had blue.

Frankie has two blue eyes and I think they're absolutely stunning. I wouldnt like one of each though i don't think? But It wouldnt matter for the right horse! Xx

My boy has two blue eyes and before I bought him I didn't really like them as I'd only ever really seen them up close on a piebald at our yard who looked like a cow and his eyes didn't help bless him. BUT my boy is so handsome he carries them off (I am a bit biased!) and I absolutely LOVE the fact that he's totally unique!!! I think they are amazing and don't believe any of the stories about being evil or blind or deaf, he's just the softest most genuine horse ever!

I think they look freaky on a dark face (fine on a white face) but it wouldn't put me off buy a horse. A good horses is never a bad colour.

When i was younger they used to freak me out... they had a grey horse at the riding stables with half and half, they asked me to ride him and i cried :o:D i was about 7 then though :D
im still not too keen on them though, but i dont mind them :)

This is a mare at the yard called Bounty, strangest looking thing I have ever seen bless her; 2 blue eyes so pale they look white and she's a cob with quite a bit of feather, a hogged mane and also a very curly moustache. Such a goofball who loves people and is into everything, cannot wait until she is back in work. :)

Don't really have an opinion on them really, if like the horse it's because of the over all apperance (if we are talking purely on looks) rather than the eye colour, some look quite cool with blue eyes, some very pretty, some not so, so dam ugly lol (but then I love ugly horses :D) I think it's nice to have something a little different, so all in all, I think it makes them quite special really, I'd never over a look a horse because it had a wall eye.

I think they're absolutely beautiful have a hard time trying to understand why people don't like them!

One of my pony's has true blue eyes, and he is the sweetest, gentlest, most adorable pony I have owned. I also love the colour of his, although some blues look awful.

I know a horse like this and he is fab, but is deaf, not sure whether this is linked to the blue eye thing or not?

Well it's definitely linked in cats, so maybe? A cat with one blue eye will most likely be deaf in that ear and totally deaf if 2 blue eyes.

I don't like wall eyes myself - had a 12h pony for my daughter with a wall eye - I never really fell in love with her, but she did a good job. She's still going strong as a games pony I hear - and she must be well into her 20s now.
