what's your proudest competiton moment and why?

Some mega achievements in this list, everyone should savour the good moments because we all know what heartbreakers horses can be![/QUOTE]
Hear hear! These personal moments of victory, you all will remember for the rest of your lives....
Everyone else will only remember what you did yesterday......

Gosh some very good ones!!!

Think mine would be on Song coming 2nd in one of my 1st novices and eating mark king! :) going clear in all my * and my first Int XC.

On Buster going clear SJ in his 2nd intro - would have come 5th if we had gone clear XC!

And Zac finishing both P2P we did together and winking best turned out in both!!

PMSL that was some achievement, B, eating Mark King :p Course, would have been even more impressive if you had beaten Mary King ;) :D :D These phones, they are sooo annoying when you try and type quickly...

Mine would have to be with DJ - she is as honest as the day is long and looks like a cut and shut horse (back end of a arab /shoulders of an Irish Draught - not pretty) she works in a riding school and we won show champion - my first first prize and my fist ever champ win.

With the current inmate would have a tough time choosing between riding at county level for the first time last year at Detling and not disgracing ourselves too badly and his first win in an ex racehorse class after a few years of not being very sound at all - any which way some good memories all round

Mine would be winning showman of the year at Ponies UK summer champs a few years ago because when the judge called my number people cheered. Not like my friends or anyone I knew but people I had never seen before in my life cheered for me and my pony :D :D

doing the 5yo byeh class at bramham last summer and not disgracing ourselves one bit against some very well known riders and equally fancy horses :) I was the odd one out on a piebald ISH mare in a sea of bay tb's so we stuck out like a sore thumb! It had always been my ambition to get a youngster ready for those classes. next on the list is to get her eventing - shes ready now but due to money etc I cant do it yet so im honing our skills so that she'll be ready to do it and do it well in the second half of this season god willing.

Winning the Petplan Novice Open at the BD Winter Champs in 2007 and having loads of pictures taken and being on the BD website :) Even more special that it was on little Bloss and it was the last time i competed her - she then went in to foal the week we got back from the Winters, then after foaling went out on loan and now shes back with me and in foal again. I am hoping to compete her the end of this year again if she comes back in to work ok after weaning :)

Kind of rubbish compared to everything else on here-
I always get kind of rubbbishy horses (in the nicest way possible) who need re-training. I had a lovely 14.1 connie which had been ridden by racing boys all his life so you can imagine the way he went. He was also petrified of show jumps.

After 6 months of blood, sweat and tears I got him round my first BN and we won!! When we got him we would be elimanated at the 1st fence.

After 8 months I got 62% in a dressage test, prior to this we got 45%. (no gadgetsvlike draw reins involved)

My proudest moments because that was all my hard work paying off to produce a lovely little pony who very unfotuantly developed arthiritis but gave me the best 2 years.
