i would like a project to work on over winter as my workload will be less, did think about a loan or LWVTB i have had a horse on loan before so can give a reference plus i have my own and my moms cob.
I miss riding a nice horse and getting out and competing...
What would you do

Please don't shoot me down for wanting a loan !

I have a youngster that I bought originally as a companion when he was weaned. He is now 2 and to be honest I haven't had time to do anything with him (such as basic education re manners, walking in hand etc) as my other horse is so demanding, so unless you really do have loads of time think carefully. Also, if you want to get out and about and compete perhaps a horse already "going" would be a better option. Whatever you decide, good luck to you and I hope your horsey gets better soon.xx

why would anyone shoot you down for wanting a loan? seems the perfect solution to me, someone going to uni might need a loaner for a short period.

How long will ur mare need off? If u go out and buy a youngster you may find it difficult to spend the time with it when your mare comes back into work.

I say a loan horse would be ideal. That way you arent 'stuck' with a bouncing-off-the-walls youngster when you need to get your girl fit again!
