I have to bite the bullet and get a new bridle for the young pone, she ate her old one today.

I thought I'd better shell out and get a decent one...any thoughts?
I was looking at these:

or

But although I hate flashes, I do see a point in the future when she may need one, what do I do then??

Also I prefer brown but her saddle is black, will that just look too silly? She is chestnut.

Do you know I thought of asking Martin to make me one, and I don't remember Clodagh's bridle being much more than that...does he still do leatherwork? Could he do me a quote?
I think with Clodagh's he made a flash strap that had the loop on so if it wasn't on you had a plain cavesson, is that right?

Well I would go for black if you have a black saddle...also I would get a cavesson noseband because you might not need a flash in the future and if you do you can always just buy a replacement noseband? Have you tried ebay? I looked at getting a new bridle for my horse, I wanted a good quality one though so thought second hand would be better as I would be able to afford better quality with my budget (if you get me?) They have some pretty decent condition ones if you look around. I got a Sabre for my horse, which is lovely

Trouble is I won't buy off eBay as I feel I am supporting the stolen goods trade. Silly I know!
But if anyone has a second hand bridle that would be lovely...
(and I think you are right about black)
