Does anybody have any recommendations for a good quality but easy to use wheel clamp suitable for an Ifor Williams? We have one of the Bulldog clamps but it is so hard to fit and it always ends up with one of us in a strop when we are trying to fit it! Thankies

i think i use the same one as you..
Wheel Clamp

But i don't find it too bad to use and mine was £38 from motorworld :

Mine has three arms that go around the wheel then the lock part is a large red triangle shape that goes over the arms and over the middle of the tyre so it almost covered. Its an absolute bu**er to fit but when its on its fab hehe! Yours looks more like I was hoping to buy!

I was offered one of the red ones with an enormous plate and bolts and all kinds of bits that fit together and one attempt at fitting it drew blood and I promptly said i'd be fine with the one I have!

It was really awkward for one person to fit. the one I have is pretty easy

ETS this is the sort I was offered which might be the same as what you have now. I hated it!

Red Bulldog one

If you have your trailer insured for theft make sure you have or get a lock that's approved by your insurers. Mines a Lockfast one (got it with a Bateson trailer) and it's a bar that locks across the wheel diagonally onto 2 protruding wheel nuts that come with it. reasonably easy to use other than you have to have the wheel nuts at the right angle to lock it on, so some shuffling back/to of the trailer is usually required before it goes on.

I just have one from Argos, as my insurnace just says it has to have a wheel clamp. (doesn't state make or quality of one)

For extra security I have a Bulldog hitch lock on too. (very easy to use.)

google the nemesis wheel clamp , i have one & its deemon , about £100 & way more heavy duty than the bulldogs at a similar price ,
