I have pretty much always used a standard builder's type wheelbarrow but looking for an upgrade! I find some of the bigger ones very difficult to empty so perhaps one of those tip ones? Any recommendations please?
Tipping ones are great, if your muckheap suits them. If you're using a piece of wood to get up it, I can guarantee one will shift and a wheel will fall and it'll be a nightmare. Ground level muckheaps that are squared off are what they're made for. I've only ever seen tipping ones that are massive (2-4 stables worth, depending on the horse), so bear that in mind. Unfortunately I have no brand recommendations, but if I was ever to buy my own, I would be very mindful of what the handles are made out of, I've encountered many plastic handles slipping from the metal bars or twisting into an uncomfortable position. Foam handle covers are what I dream of.
All good points thank you and yes don't want a huge huge one. We have a flat muck heap so that is one thing. I have done plenty of that balancing up planks in years gone by and not fun. Handles a good point too.
