When are you planning to turn your horses back out in the Field

I have two youngsters (3yo's) that have been in at night during the Winter but really need to benefit from as much Spring grass as possible!

When do you usually - Or when do you plan to turn your horses back out 24/7?

Would Beginning of March be to early? Looks like we have another cold spell this weekend - then looks like we will be warming up a touch.

Mine are out already - have been all winter apart from one very wet week!

Contemplating this weekend. I am going to bring them off the hay field and put up the grass track in the front field. However if it turns wet then they may be back in at night as I don't want the ground to become poached up when that field has to do them until september. Not totally sure as I hate leaving them out some nights and bringing them in others as they are better sticking to one routine but i am fed up of mucking out!!!

I'd like to get mine out ASAP but unfortunately the ground here is like a swamp, so will think about it come early March methinks.

mine is out.
they all go out from between 2 to 10 hours a day depending on horse wheather and time.
when it had snowed they had an hours turnout in the school or field then back in.

Mine went back out 24/7 on 29th January. I have loads of grass and she got some haylage when it was frosty and it snowed. She's fine :0)

Both my 2yo, my welsh A have been out naked and my DWb is now naked and out their whole lives.. Straight from stud to me

Mine was in over night whilst the ground was solid ( very rutty) or covered in snow or very muddy but she is back out 24/7. We went from -12 degrees overnight last week to 9 degrees and sunshine yesterday - cant keep up....

Ours go out when there is enough grass in the field to support them throughout the summer.

Mine normally go out 24/7 when the clocks go forward - the grass in the summer paddock should have come back by then...

I do it when it is in double figures at night - 12 degrees not before usually june time can be may if warm nights

Ours won't be out over night for another eight weeks. Need the grass in our top field to grow up a bit first. I wouldn't mind my girl going out over night from now really but we have to wait for our livery owner to give us the go ahead. Shes out twelve hours most days though.

Think our YO is planning on moving onto summer grazing in April, so will have the chance to go out 24/7 then. Mine are usually in by day, out by night then though!

Mine live out 24/ 7 on a track round their field. I'm slightly worried that the grass is growing already as they had their heads down grazing this morning when I took their brekky up.

Mine hasn't come in much! He's been out overnight all winter (didn't change him over in the autumn) and just comes in for a few hours each day. When it was icy and the ground was frozen solid he came in for longer but still got out every afternoon.
