Got a fright from the farriers grinder, turned round to take off, Dubh was in the way & he jumped over & round him (not right over his back but could have cleared it!)

Pleased to say he is much more chilled now!
 
I dont think it matters size-wise because as you say they tend to be more agile when they're smaller. 15.3hh isnt small anyway! I compete my small built 16hh (looks almost like a 15.2hh with me on board, he feels too small for me somehow!) perfectly easily round novice tracks. He's so agile. Although, my actual 15.2hh welsh cob isnt agile cross country... he's doing intro's. But its not his size, its his build which is his problem!
