When did you know ...

I've had horses on and off for years, but this time round I just decided I wanted my own, so did share one for a bit, then I got teddi. Then I saw snowflake and just HAD to have him for Stella, so we tried him out, and it was a good choice :)

I've wanted a horse ever since I was a child, I'm 33 now and have just brought my first horse!!! I knew I was ready, when we were financially stable, so know I can afford his upkeep and any possible vets bills. I also waited until we were able to buy our own field. This way he is stabled at the local stables most of the year, but comes to our field which is lovely, big and shady during the hottest summer months.

That you were ready to get a horse? Just because i'm being very nosey tonight!

I've had horses for longer than I can remember.
Being ready never came into the equation when buying them, still learning every day. Like today, I discovered that I have spent 40 years putting nosebands on wrongly:( :)

i shared a horse and kept getting messed about so age 15 my mum (non horsey) pursuaded my (non horsey) dad to buy me ahorse lol!!! :D

the 2nd i was 17 and paid for myself.
(sold the firrst)
:)

I thought I was ready when I still couldn't pronounce the 's' in horse due to lost milk teeth.....

I think knowing you are ready to get your own horse is like knowing when to marry someone - you can't not.

Of course, as we all know, sometimes things don't go quite as smoothly as planned in either case.....:D
