just interested really.

i started riding 24 yrs ago, spent yrs at riding schools, had a share with a friend as a teenager, went to agricultural college for 2 yrs doing a horse course, worked with horses for a while. But i only really learnt to ride when i bought my first horse about a year ago. guess that was coz there was no one there telling me what to do or to help me with problems, i had to figure it out for myself.

I started riding when i was 7 (i'm 23 now), had ponies and horses since then, went to equine college but i didn't really learn to ride till i got my current horse three years ago. If you don't ride him properly he will basically try to kill you

Still learning!

Been riding since age of 7 (now in 40's) and have owned own horses since age of 13. Had a variety of horses and have done a variety of things with them but find that I am still learning each day.

I'd say the biggest jumps in knowledge were when I got my first pony, when I did my BHS exams and when I started competing more seriously and had regular coaching/instruction.

Also very much still learning!

Started when about 8 years old, am now 27, but have only owned a horse the last 3 years. I Went to college at one point, but otherwise just had weekly lessons and riding holidays mostly, and would definatly say my riding has come on more the last 3 years owning Gem than in most of the last 20 years or so, or thats what my friends tell me from my riding now compared to when i first arrived!

I think riding is a permanent learning curve! I did the bulk of my learning with my own ponies at Pony Club during my childhood but even now (25yrs on!) I find that riding different horses with different characters means I'm adapting and developing my style and technique in order to get the best out of each of them.

Not sure I ever will. Started last year at 51 and learned on my daughter's horse who, shall we say, has a sense of humour and his own opinions! Then had to re-learn when I got Milo (17.3 warmblood) so I will let you know if and when I really learn
