each other, I wonder what they say?

Have just been watching mine having a chat with some cattle over his fence....a bit of nodding, a bit of staring, a quick bite......

If only we knew what they were thinking.

Any guesses?

My children used to ask what accents did I think our horses speak in when talking to one another.

I am confident our elderly Shetland pony that chases the big horses around - she speaks with a broad Scottish accent and also uses the odd swear word.

My now deceased Connemara gelding we thought had a broad Aussie accent, and was definately a mans man. He treated everyone a facial expression that clearly made you think of a broad “G‘Day mate”.

Mine commune with the cattle over the road quite often. I do wonder what they're all thinking sometimes. They just stand and look at each other for a bit.

Oh accents are easy, Galway all the way here.

But it was a semi-serious question - are they just tryign to figure out what species the other is? Discussing the grazing? Enjoying the same companionship we do with a horse or dog?

Unanswerable, but still......
