I'm always amazed at the way horses behave when they know something is wrong.
My pony can be a bit of a monkey to lead sometimes and can pull / put his head down to eat etc if I don't have a firm hold of him and make him walk nicely when coming in.
Yesterday I got caught in the middle when another pony in the field ran at him. Not sure what happened but I put my arm up to protect myself and ended up with a nasty cut right on the bone of my wrist and for a few minutes I thought it might be broken as it went totally numb and I couldn't move it. My pony just nuzzled me as if to ask if I was ok, and then walked in with me from the field like a donkey with me just holding the leadrope loosely! Love him!
Thankfully wrist is fine, just bruised and pulled I think. And I'm stabled at a doctors house, so she fixed my cut for me with surgical strips!
