I'm always amazed at the way horses behave when they know something is wrong.

My pony can be a bit of a monkey to lead sometimes and can pull / put his head down to eat etc if I don't have a firm hold of him and make him walk nicely when coming in.

Yesterday I got caught in the middle when another pony in the field ran at him. Not sure what happened but I put my arm up to protect myself and ended up with a nasty cut right on the bone of my wrist and for a few minutes I thought it might be broken as it went totally numb and I couldn't move it. My pony just nuzzled me as if to ask if I was ok, and then walked in with me from the field like a donkey with me just holding the leadrope loosely! Love him!

Thankfully wrist is fine, just bruised and pulled I think. And I'm stabled at a doctors house, so she fixed my cut for me with surgical strips!

Firstly- owie!!!!!

And yes, they always seem to know don't they. Many's the time I've cried into my horse's mane, and they just stand there nuzzling me :):)

And if I'm having a bad day they always know!!!

Tia has always been very caring like that. Slowing down if she ever felt me losing my balance and only ever bombing off at 100mph if I was having a confident day :p she knew :D. Great childs pony!

The one and only time I did fall off and was hobbling around in pain the expression on her face was priceless, she just looked really worried about it lol bless her :D

ouch! hope it heals okay.
Beanie is amazing. I get spells where it can be difficult to walk with my M.E. One day I was walking her in with my hand on her neck because i was struggling and tripped slightly. She quickly put her neck under my arm to catch me. I was so shocked I just started crying!!! They really do know so much more than we sometimes give them credit for.
