Yesterday morning the horses were all given their normal once a week morning feed of warm linseed and barley porridge, they all adore it.
After this all of them were turned out for the day together in the big paddock.
About 11am one of the liveries came running up from the meadow shouting all of the horses are covered in ticks.
There was a universal what are you sure which was greeted with oh my god its horrible they are all round their mouths.
Thinking well its very unusual but its new pasture so better check 3 of us took the quads armed with tick removers expecting to spend a joyous couple of hours removing ticks from 10 horses.
When we got there guess what we found, yep 10 horses with the remnants of their delicious breakfasts spread round their faces, chests, legs one even had some in his ears.
Cue one very red faced livery who admitted that maybe she had over reacted a bit
