When is everyone clipping?

I'm hoping to leave it as late as poss - hopefully towards the end of October. My ned doesn't seem too bothered by the cold, everyone elses are getting their winter coats and he has just gone a bit darker - not furrier!

I'll prob have to clip my TB sooner though as she is wearing a lightweight stable rug already!

Hoping to get away without clipping as apparantly Max needs to be sedated. Only sedalin i think, but a pain all the same. Will have to see how wooly he gets then go from there

I've no idea as I've never had to clip a horse and I don't know how hairy George gets! He has been moulting a bit, but he still has a nice summer coat, he does only go out during the day and is in a stable in a barn at night so not too cold.

Tomorrow eve - was nice knowing you all

I think I shall have to do Star this weekend. In fact, I've just dug out the clippers and put them on charge. She gets sooo shaggy, so early!

I was wondering this as my girl is still out 24/7 at the moment and really molting, she gone a different colour and is starting to slightly chuck her winter coat so maybe a light weight rub on at night soon to leave it as long as possible, she has got to be done as she does sweat up so she'll be even worse with a winter coat, god knows what shes guna be like when i do it........that reminds me is my life insurance up to date!! lol

fingers crossed not till October but you never know. My old girl was always clipped by the first week in September, we always thought we manage an extra week or so but no always the first week.

Ummm might do a bib clip in couple weeks or so but hope not to properly clip until November when they will start to come in over night... might be pushing it but hey we'll see!

given my mare a bib clip already v hairy, but my gelding doesnt seem to bother growing a coat till oct typical tb cross but hes a wimp and needs a rug on atm

red will have a bib and belly clip next week- than when he comes in at the end of oct he will have a blanket clip.
solo will be clipped when he comes in at the end of the month-he'll be having a very high trace clip.

Neither of mine are in enough work to need it this year

They will both get a bib clip though if they need one. The anglo is sensitive enough without making him nakee where my legs go

Within the next week or so hopefully.

I've got next week off work so am hoping to bath him after I have worked him (providing the weather is nice enough) and then clip him when he is dry / the next day.

Clipped my mare last weekend, she was getting really woolley and sweating in work.....she's out 24/7 but has light weight on at night...depressing isn't it now winter is on its way....

Not for a while, Ernie has no coat at all yet! OH's will be done soon as he seems to have a fair old summer coat and needs hogging for hunting.
