It usually starts on the August Bank Holiday Monday and runs into September. Yes you can camp there. there are toilets and showers etc and loads of food places. There are also really good parties and top class showjumping until about midnight. You stand in the bar and watch the jumping its brilliant
It normally begins on Bank Holiday Monday of August and runs for a week. This year's dates are not on the website yet - typical of their lack of timely information provision!
Stafford County Showground. I've never been but most reports are very favourable. I would be spoilt for choice as several arenas run simultaneously during the daytime. Evening classes are in the indoor arena.

Yes it is worth going. It's free to get in and watch too. All the top riders will be there and it is a great chance to see some really good showjumping. If you get bored you could always go to Alton Towers

Hmm. Might just have to take the horse box down and stay for a day or 2. Do you think they would notice that it was empty?

100% they wouldn't have a clue and wouldn't care anyway. The place is heaving. You can qualify in the 1.15, and the final up there is only 1.15 - bit quick in the jump off though!
Problem I face is with him being Grade B all the qualifiers I can go for are about 1.30 or above. Unless someone knows differently.
Next horse will have £5 max on its card
The qualifiers are everywhere, there are usually a lot more than what is reported on the BSJA website. When I went they also had 1.10 classes that anyone could enter. And if you came in the top X of that class you got to go in the pairs with someone famous.
So how old are you? You don't need to qualify to jump in the veterns class either.....
I have never been but have heard contradicting opinions. Many people say what a great show it is, but there was lots of trouble there last year on the social side of things. I remember a bit in the H&H about a rider being attacked and other complaints about anti-social behaviour in the evenings. I am sure this year they will have more security in place and it will be a great show.
It's on bank holiday week (details on Staffs County Showground website) as I have the monday and tuesday off work anyway and have booked the rest of the week off as I only live 5 minutes away
only going to spectate though but worth going IMO and the shopping is pretty good too
