I sold my mare about 2 years ago as a broodmare. She had a good competition life and went to a lovely lady to show in hand and have babies.

She has emailed me today to say that she has had her first foal. The colt is sooooooo gorgeous! My mare is looking really good too and being a good mummy.

I just think it is great when your horses go to good homes and they keep in touch.

) bring a tear to my eye if she had been mine!!!

edited to add.... I do believe that foalie is being cheeky in that first pic and sticking its tongue out at us!!!

What a lovely gesture!! So many people never hear from the new owners after so much time has passed. Thats really made me smile.
PS if anyone knows or has, Rebel a 12.2hh NF gelding, bay with a star and snip sold in the bromsgrove area 1994/95 he'll be about 20/21 now PM me. I've thought about him every day and would love to know how he is.

I think I've seen these piccies on another website posted by the new owner. Just the most stunning foal, and lovely mum too. Lovely that these were shared with you.

I always keep in touch with ex-owners, if they want me to. Just 'found' a pony we sold (which I regret) and he is in the best home ever, so tears are over now. I think it's a lovely touch, them sending you the pics. You did the right thing by your mare there.
