Maggie went lame just over a week ago - I thought it was because she lost her shoe and was footsore. Farrier came out -re-fitted shoe and she was fine for a couple of days, then went lame again. Farrier came out, had a poke round but didnt find anything. I poulticed foot but nothing came out.
Farrier came back last Friday to look again but couldn't see anything so he took all shoes off and said phone vet. She's not noticably lame in walk, only in trot, she's still hooning around the field like an idiot! I suspected muscle strain so I left her over the weekend and just walked her out in hand on soft ground. There's no improvement, but its not getting any worse. Would you call the vet now or give it a few more days to see if it improves? There's no heat or swelling anywhere.
