Yes, this is very impatient of me but my new little pony arrived yesterday late afternoon. I have seperated them for the moment, but am just wondering am I better to put them straight in togehter or better to leave them seperate for a bit??

Play it safe and leave them separate. If you have stables let them smell each other over the stable door and see how it goes (be careful for flying front legs!), then see if they will hack out together and if all goes well try them together in the field in a couple of weeks. There is no particular hurry, is there?

No there is no hurry. They live out 24/7 so no chance of putting them in stables. The little shettie type is hanging around by the fencing seperating the 2, but my mare is being stubborn and hanging around at the other end of the field.

They are at the end of my garden so am checking on them regularly, and my girls go and fuss over the new pony and I go and fuss over my mare so she doesn't get jealous. Will be working them seperatly at the beginning of the week, so they get used to this and am taking them out together with a friend at the end of the week.
