Tody Stella went to Central Park to meet up with my friend's Boston Terrier, Catfish. At 32lbs, he is twice Stella's size!

They were soon joined by a gorgeous Weimeraner/Ridgeback pup. Guess who maintained control of the stick at all times?

Stella's reaction to the general public (I know--put a muzzle on that thing, will you

After two hours, Stella was still not done. She took it upon herself to start a game of tug with Catfish's leash (attached to his harness, not the collar!)...

Lovely pics, why do the dogs run loose with their leashes dangling??

[/ QUOTE ]

Because in NYC, dogs have to be leashed from 9am until the evening

which is why you have the "off-leash hours" in the morning and evening, when literally hundreds of dogs congregate in the main parks to play and run.

During the daytime, the park employees don't bother you if the dog is wearing a leash while running around, but they do if it's not wearing one. Go figure.

Oh O.K. god bless America and it's barmey laws...............some are nearly as crazy as ours!!!

I know. I don't mind so much because the "off-leash times" are when I usually walk her anyhow. And I suppose the huge dog population here (1 million and counting) has a lot to do with it.

Still, I love being back in England and not having some draconian leash law enforcer telling me off.

Aww I love Stella! I like the way she's the boss

Catfish is huge in comparison! But yes, you should clearly be muzling her! Look at that aggression towards the general public

bless her and fair play taking on the bigger ones she might be small but seems to make up for it in personality lol

She is a badass with other dogs, regardless of their size, and an utter sop with people. I had her at a three-year-old's party over the weekend, and the children took it in turns to walk her around the garden, brush her, play with her ears, and talk gibberish to her. Literally, every person she meets she will roll over for.

Yep, when you find just the right stick you have to keep hold of it no matter what!

Why the name Catfish?

[/ QUOTE ]

He's from Arkansas, which is famous for its catfish.
