When to clip?

We have decided to clip the mare i share and neither me or the owner want to go threw moulting again (you left the yard head to toe in hair it was hell), but we are not sure when to clip. Any advice would be great, also if you know anybody in essex who does clipping that would be great.
She is worked everyday and we were thinking of a hunter clip.

Clipping time is between about September to february.

But is does depend on the horse coat and the weather.

Hi,

My lad has a trace clip - it was done two weeks ago - his full winter coat wasn't fully through but he's sweating up on exercise across his chest.

Clip can be done anytime upto Feb - type of clip depending on level of work.

Clipping can be done at any time of year all year round according to what the horse needs!!
