Hate moving horses! I've been lucky enough not to have ti do it too many times!!
I had arranged to move both horses early sat morning and turn straight out. It would mean the oldie will be on his own for 20 mins whilst I fetch other one. My other option is to move them tomorrow late afternoon and pop them in stables ready to turnout sat morning. What's everyone's preference?

Are you moving to a new yard with other horses about or to a sole use yard? Are the horses being turned out on their own or will it be with others? Do either of them mind being left on their own?

Is there any reason why the first one can't go into a stable to wait for the 2nd on Saturday? Only you know whether the first one can wait sensibly in the field for the 2nd one.

My preference is always to chuck them straight out - did the same when Dex was shipped over from Ireland even. Let them stretch their legs and have a look around on their own time.

Mew yard with one other already there who will probably be in. My boys will go together so oldie will be on his own for 20mins , but my other half will stay with him whilst I fetch other

If the other horse at the yard will be in I would move them tomorrow afternoon and put them out in the field. If the other horse will also be in the field I would want to to introductions and watch for a while so would probably go for moving Saturday morning when there is more time to hang around.
