When to stop feeding hay?

Hi

I put my horsey onto her summer field this morning its full of grass and she looked pretty stuffed tonight!

Is it right to just stop feeding her hay, because she has plenty of grass?

Advice greatly appreciated

Yep! Mine are out 24/7 now and allthough there is not an excess of grass they are not interested in their hay any more.

Yes, you can stop feeding hay in the field but if she is stabled at all she will still need hay in the stable

HI if your horse is out 24/7 then i would stop but i bring mine in at night and i give mine one slice each otherwise you will be buying extra large girths lol

My girl tends to get hay all year round as she is a laminitic, i never used to i might add, would stop about april

We've got 2 laminitics and this weekend will be bringing them off the big field and putting them on the small paddock and feeding hay to keep their guts going. The Cob and other pony will get a forkful of hay on a night for the next few weeks to balance the spring grass and the TB comes in at night so still gets ad lib hay.
