Mare could have been covered between the 24th Oct - 30th Oct, unsure if she was in season so may all be a moot point. I'm not a wait and see type and want to scan to confirm either way, what date would you arrange the vet for? Wanting to crack on and bring her back into work but will hang fire until I know for sure.

14days- 16 days. I would be inclined to count 14 days from 30th and then scan a couple of days later as well, just to be sure. That way you have the best chance of detecting a twin pregnancy and doing something about it.
There's no reason to not work the mare now anyway

Thanks so much. She's being taken for in hand walks and starting long reining tomorrow so she is doing a bit and quite honestly, I'd prefer her to drop some weight before I get on board anyway. Also wanting to get her teeth done before real work commences so I'll get them done at the first scan if the vet is happy to sedate.

I've bred dogs for years but this is new territory, got a great support network but it's still a bit overwhelming!
