Because your bloody greyhound is too smart ??‍♀️
Got a big box of treats to wrap up for the dogs for Christmas as they love unwrapping and ripping up the papers. So box of treats went in the present pile in the bedroom.
Wrapped a couple for each and they had great fun on Christmas Day, so Boxing Day comes and greyhound sauntered into bedroom, spied box that she’s totally ignored up until it was open and gave me the hopeful, rspca advert stare and sat and gave me the hitler salute paw (she cannot seem to work out how to bend the paw)
So of course I gave in and she snuck off with her prize, little guy comes running in like “err ... excuse me but where’s mine” ... fatal error two as I gave him one too.
This has become a daily routine of two dogs coming and sitting and giving me the paw at bedtime. Today I ran out of treats ?

I have accidentally trained them to do a bedtime head count apparently. Oops.

One year we left a 'Santa sack' from Pets at Home in the lobby (where the dogs are not allowed) every time anyone went to the front door, the dogs were sitting smartly looking hopeful, as the lobby door opened again.
