Colin really is so adorable ? I’m delighted I bought him, and that none of my fears about getting a terrier puppy came true - of course there have been little glitches, he is a puppy not a robot, but nothing that hasn’t been easily resolved. He is a total joy to have around, my best decision of 2020 (so far!)

I was looking for a smooth coated tri colour! My little oldie had died and I was keen to have similar again but couldn't find one. I contacted her breeder and she sent a photo of this one - the only bitch available from the only litter I could find. My husband saw the photo and said "who could resist" so we went and got her that weekend.
She is now 14 months old as she was older when we got her because breeder wouldn't advertise or let them go over Christmas or early January. She is still unreliable sometimes on the housetraining despite my vigilance. She steals everything not nailed down. She has no off button at all. She barks with a gruffness that sounds as if she has smoked 20 cigarettes. BUT she has good recall, she is super affectionate, she is good with other dogs and she is wonderful with our granddaughter - except when she is asleep, when she sneaks into her bedroom to steal her soft toys without waking her up. She creeps under the covers and removes them one by one. She has filled a gap I thought was unfillable.

They are lovely.
And misst your room is beautiful.

I was always very much indifferent to terriers but I had a Parson Russell on my books and he was such a lovely lovely dog. I really liked him.
Also had 2 borders as well.
I'd now not rule them out in the future.

He's a beautiful boy and I'm so glad it worked out. It's always a bit scary, adding a newbie to an established group! but it looks like he has slotted right in.

My GBGV, who I got on 8/2/2020, is the absolute best thing that happened to me in 2020. He had big shoes to fill, left by my beloved Lakie who left us 5 years ago. I actually couldn't bear to get another terrier because I got the best one in 2000 and had him for 15 years. So a hound it was! He's just wonderful. I absolutely adore him and whilst it was a tough decision (I had reserved him some months earlier but just before I was due to pick him up my Chambers announced their closure and I arranged to move to a much busier, more corporate set and was worried I wouldn't have the time for my dog. I had worked out how much free time I had, how long would have to leave the dog etc based on the hours at my old Chambers, but suspected I would be busier at the new job) it was 100% the right call. It has been wonderful through lockdown. I moved back in with my parents so I wasn't alone during lockdown and they love him just as much as I do. So dog sharing has worked out better than I either expected.
Dogs are such special people ❤️

Thank you HT :)
In a few years your boys will probably love a terrier! My granddaughter adores both of mine and her fathers parsons jrt who died last year aged 15. She did find Ruby a bit full on intially. I once found her trying to stuff her through the door of her crate saying "that's enough now you need to get in your house and give us some peace" the puppy adores her though and they are firm friends. Granddaughter is adept at holding biscuits etc high above her head to avoid Ruby snacking on them, and is often caught feeding both of them from the table "because they are hungry Nonna"

Oh gosh lol...My lot have already learnt to sit by the high chairs for food and William actually dropped a piece over the edge on purpose while watching them!
I doubt I'll have another dog for a while as I still have 3 now ranging from 11 to 6 plus the other animals but I still have a few breeds on my list of wanting to own some day.
