I dog sat a chihuahua once it was a revelation ? when it gave up on walks I just shoved it down my jumper and zipped my coat with his head poking out. Kept me nice and warm. It was more like a cat though and sat in my lap. It did have a habit of trying to start on larger dogs which was a bit stressful.

They just got here. The chihuahua is so cute! Really friendly and waggy. So far they’ve only met Red.
??. I love that! I remember my daughter bring Basil home, he’s chihuahua x yorkie and I was a bit mind blown by his size and how not to loose or stand on him. I’m smitten.
Is the no walking a him thing or an owner thing?
Daughter claims hers doesn’t need/want walking but in truth he loves it and is a tough little nut. The only time I have to give him special treatment is when there’s really bad thistles or long thick patches of weeds which to be fair must be like a jungle so I do pick him up over the impossible bits. Otherwise he’s grand and keeps up fine.

Yes, he has you under his spell already. I hope they brought more than one jacket, or you will be out buying a set when he is too hot/cold or wet!!!

I’ve only got him for three days so he can just walk round the lawn. Actually now it’s only two days as I have to shoot back to Essex so I am offloading him on a friend for the rest. She has just lost her Dane so it will be a bit of a shock.
He does have more than one outfit and I’ll put his Lilo and Stitch hoodie on at bedtime. ?
He is in the kennel and very sad about that. Patch the spaniel is fine but I had forgotten what a pulling spaniel was really like. Handy coming back up the hill ?

I don’t think I should share his pic before he goes home? Not sure on etiquette!
He met Scout today, he’s not at all aggressive but Scout was rather put off meeting someone who immediately tried to have sex with his hock.
He’s off to friends tomorrow and is sleeping in her bedroom, so he only has to manage one night in a kennel ?
