When's summer coming?

I really can't remember the last time we went for more than five days without rain, every time it looks like the weather is improving back comes the rain. I had one day of the fields starting to feel dry and then the rain a couple of days ago has turned them back to mud again. I had to move to the summer grazing two weeks ago as the winter field was going to be beyond repair if they stayed in there any longer, but that means that the top of the summer field is now also trashed which has never happened before.

If someone does find out when summer is due please may they let me know?

This week apparently in Gloucestershire - sunny and over 20 degrees!

Having said that the BBC have got the forecast this weekend totally wrong so I’m not holding my breath 🤣

We’re on day 3 no rain now. But shhhhhhh the rain gods might hear so I’ll say it quietly.

It’ll take a good few more days like this before my wettest fields dry up but it’s a start.

It’s really warm here today, car currently thinks it’s 33 degrees. And I’m wearing shorts!

I sometimes go down to Exeter for work and the local evening summary of 'today's weather' (i.e. what has already happened) is often wrong, despite the MET office being based in... Exeter. I presume the office windows aren't actually see through 🤣

Yep 😂
Tho, yesterday and this morning were dull but warm, now we've just had a prolonged "shower"
That "shower" has flooded all my fields. Again.

We're now trashing summer grazing because the winter field is resting and the small one I usually use to avoid spring grass risk is a muddy pond.

Saturday and Sunday was glorious here.

Today it's been so cold & wet I've had to put the heating on and almost every piece of tack & equipment I used out hacking is drying in my kitchen 🙈
