Tried to go riding this morning at about 9 o'clock, as thought it wouldn't be too hot and thought there would be less flies around. But i was wrong, i brought my horse in, and there were so many flies, he was getting so stressed out so i decided to leave it for now, and hoping there will be less this evening.
So.. what sort of time is it best to go riding, so i don't have to constantly kill flies and my horse doesn't stressed out??

I was poo picking last night at about 7-8.30 and it was perfect weather for riding :) Shame my horse is broken :(

Puppy is right, either late ish eve or VERY early doors, like 5-6am, it's lovely and fresh in the morning and you then have the rest of the day to yourself.

I find riding about 7am works for us - cool and fly nil - minimal. Would love to go for evening ride when cooler but unfortunately Ness is a headshaker and we find early mornings suit us best.
