Whats going on! Where are all the good 12.2's??

They're all so young or very forward "not novice rides"

If the market so bad that people are hanging on to the good ones??

Fed up looking! :(

I couldn't find anything when I was looking I ended up buying a really quiet 4 year old stallion, I was looking for sutiable for novice 8 and over. But he has turned out fab with both my kids

Really regretting letting our 11.2 school master go in favour of getting daughter something bigger!! there is sod all out there unless you're spending 3.5-4k! Crazy!

I had a lovely homebred mare 12 hander who had competed in M&M working hunter pony with results up to RIHS and I could not find anyone who wanted to have her so she stood in a field for two years, before friends of my daughters who had paid mega bucks for a nut job jumping pony who wasnt, got into conversation with them and our pony went last year to two little lads, the oldest seven and now competes BSJA.We have loaned her for however long they want her.
There are ponies out there particularly in Scotland where people think its so far away and dont bother to answer ads.

The good ones tend to go word of mouth or for large sums quickly. And most of the ones I know aren't ever sold, they are loaned with a waiting list!

Ahh! Just when I was about to give up, the owners of a very nice pony that we went to see have called me back and agreed a deal!!
She's coming on thursday afternnon after our lovely Jake goes on thursday morning!

Peachy!

i have 2 of the little toe rags, been trying to find someone to share them but to no avail. they are total opposites of each other but still can't find someone to share/part loan/full loan even one!

I've seen quite a few advertised in the Glos/Wilts area just lately - makes me think all the kids have had huge growth spurts over the summer lol :D

You cant have been looking in Kent !!
i have been trying to sell a cracking 12.2 hh dartmoor mare for months. lovely little pc pony but a tad green and not asking silly money just want a good home.

We just bought a fabulous one called Thistledown Firebird but we had to travel and pay £3000 but he is proving perfect.
Now we have decided to sell our 11.2 sec A as my Grand daughter hasnt time to ride both and had outgrown Dimple.

No you're right wasn't looking in Kent!! Mosty because I'm in east Scotland!
We were considering travelling dwn south to view a couple as there seems to be one north of the border!

Please ignore me....just seen earlier in the thread that you are in Scotland, it's a nice pony..but not that nice lol

Opposite problem for me, I have a 12.2 for sale but the market is practically dead in my area by the look of it! I haven't had any interest yet and she's a cracking little pony, and I'm not asking silly money for her :(

We had a bit of a nightmare finding the right one, plenty about that we didn't want. Eventually found her in April this year and have had 8 people offering for her and a waiting list if we ever decide to sell/loan. Junior loves her to bits.

Has taken me 18mths just to find a sharer for mine, cracking little games and/or show pony, manners to burn, 110% hacking etc etc and only 13yrs old, not a whiff until 3 wks ago, only a 3day share but at least he is getting a bit of work now.

When i was a kid i would have jumped at the chance to share anything let alone a pony of his calibre, bless his cotton socks!
