I'm looking to loan or share a horse and have looked on all the popular websites but they are just full of people like me placing Wanted adverts.
Considering there are loads of threads on here with people having to sell up/loan their horses or look for shares due to the credit crunch they don't seem to be advertising their horses online!!!
Do i add my wanted advert to the rest of the list of wannabes? How do i make my advert stand out to the rest of them (apart from being over 18 and can drive so not relying on mum and dad to be a taxi!!) and having owned horses for over 25 years...yes I'm in my 30's!!!
There are two horses which sound perfect...one is in Kent and must stay on their current yard (i live in Cheshire!!) and the other person wants £110 a month (horse is kept at their home) for 6 hours a month.
The thing is that unless the owner has a heavyweight, plod I'm not bothered about riding and would be quite happy mucking out, grooming, lunging, going for walks and shows...I'm borderline a free groom so paying over £100 a month for 6 hours seems a little excessive. Part of me doesn't think i should have to pay if i don't ride but quite willing to contribute to bedding, feed etc to feel a part of the horses life!!!
I also don't want to be a baby sitter...i don't mind kids but I'm not a nanny. I want to look after a horse not kids!!
Anyway, sorry for the rant (must be the heat) but if you can suggest the best sites to look for someone wanting help with their horses please let me know.
Thanks everyone
